Teddy bears and floral tributes left for Scots boy, 4, outside flat where dad killed him

Grieving mourners have left floral tributes and teddy bears outside a Paisley flat where a four-year-old boy was murdered by his dad.

Little Kayden Frank was discovered dead inside the Argyll Street property on Monday night after concerns were raised for his welfare.The body of a 38-year-old man, named locally as Steven Frank, was also found by police at around 8pm.

Investigators have confirmed that Kayden’s death is being treated as murder but that there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the passing of his dad.Heartbreaking pictures from outside the property show toy stuffed animals and a multi-coloured bear lying on the pavement near the main door.

Four bunches of flowers have also been placed at the scene.We previously told how the boss of children's services at Renfrewshire Council yesterday paid tribute to Kayden, who was “the best at giving cuddles”.Steven Quinn, the council's director of children's services, spoke before a meeting of the education and children's services policy board.He confirmed Kayden was "known to social work" and relayed a tribute from management at his early learning and childcare centre, which said he had an "amazing sense of humour" and was always "smiling, singing and dancing".Mr Quinn told elected members: "First of all, it is with great sorrow that I speak to you this afternoon to let you know that one of Renfrewshire's children Kayden Frank, aged four, has very sadly died."Kayden was known to social work and also attended Douglas Street nursery and has been described by his head of centre as a lovely boy, endowed with an amazing sense of humour, always smiling, singing and dancing."He was the best at giving cuddles with a big, loving heart.
