Summerlee Museum hosts single largest display of Meccano in Scotland this month

Summerlee Museum’s autumnal events continue throughout September with the Meccano Society of Scotland returning for an annual visit, as well as opportunities for people to see behind the scenes during ‘Doors Open’ weekend.The museum will welcome back the Meccano Society on September 16 and 17 with the single largest display of Meccano in Scotland.The two-day exhibition features large and small working Meccano models from all eras, from vintage cars and spaceships, giant cranes, and interactive mechanisms that visitors can operate.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

Visitors can book a tour of the Industrial History Store or take part in a walking tour along the Monkland Canal.
