Star Trek actor Mickey Cottrell dies after devastating Parkinson's disease battle

Mickey Cottrell has sadly passed away at the age of 79 on New Year's Day, his sister has announced. Mickey was perhaps best known for his roles as Chancellor Alrik Star Trek: The Next Generation and Dumah in Star Trek: Voyager, he also appeared in My Own Private Idaho, Hellraiser: Bloodline, and the video game Terror T.R.A.X.: Track of the Vampire.

He also worked as a producer and publicist on a number of films and TV shows. He passed away followin a brave battle with Parkinson's disease.

His sister Suzie Cottrell-Smith confirmed the news, remembering him as "the most fun brother ever." Suzie shared some lovely memories of her brother, saying: "He was the most fun brother ever.

We'd sing together, dance, just all kinds of fun things that went on all the time when he was around." She also revealed that "every woman in the neighbourhood adored him." She told Deadline: "He knew every movie ever made and every little bit actor that was in movies.
