West Ham are close to agreeing a loan deal for Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips, as the Manchester Evening News reported earlier today.
The 28-year-old has played just 10 times this season, starting just two of them with neither coming in the Premier League. Pep Guardiola has refused to rule out a January exit for Phillips, who now has just eight days to secure a move away.
The player, contracted until 2028, is likely to leave on loan with City said to be eyeing a profit on their £42m acquisition in the summer.
Nevertheless, the Blues are demanding a loan fee for the England international, whose inclusion in Gareth Southgate’s Euro 2024 squad remains in the balance.
