Sir Mo Farah 'will always' enter Great Manchester Run 10K as he prepares for penultimate race as elite athlete

Olympic legend Sir Mo Farah is preparing for what will be his penultimate race as he takes on the Great Manchester Run 10K tomorrow Farah completed a final London Marathon last month, finishing ninth in just over two hours and 10 minutes.

The 40-year-old will be back on the roads around Manchester this weekend before one last goodbye through the streets of Tyneside at the Great North Run half marathon on September 10.

However, fans of Britain’s greatest distance runner – a double Olympic champion over 5,000m and 10,000m in both London and Rio to add to his six world titles – will still be able to catch a glimpse of Sir Mo in the future, he has said.

Ahead of the race, Sir Mo has admited it will be an emotional send-off, but one which he intends to savour every moment of.
