Scott McTominay has looked all-but set to leave Manchester United this summer, but now the Scotland star could have been handed a lifeline. It's been a struggle to find hame for the beloved Tartan Army midfielder whose performances for the national team has not translated in to being part of Erik Ten Hag's plans at Old Trafford.
The likes of Newcastle United and West Ham United were said to be retaining transfer interest in the 26-year-old, with a proposed £30million move to the London side never materialising.
McTominay was rooted to the bench as United lost to former Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou and Tottenham last week.It prompted questions from United fans over his future but in a fresh twist, star signing from Chelsea Mason Mount is set for up to six weeks on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.
According to the Telegraph, the blow will have 'implications' for the future of McTominay and would 'complicate' a sale with Ten Hag light on options.
