Sir Rod Stewart has shared some clarification with concerned fans after doing a string of interviews that seemingly hinted at his retirement.
On Instagram today, the 78-year-old assured fans: "I shall never retire!"I'd like to clear up any confusion that I may have caused with my dear fans and the media. "I was put on this earth to be a singer and will keep doing so for as long as the good Lord lets me. "In his heartfelt note, the rockstar added that all of his tour dates, heading into 2024, will still be going ahead as planned and he will be "playing the hits as advertised".
He comforted fans, noting that even after he makes this highly anticipated transition, his greatest hits will not be forgotten: "I could never turn my back on the songs that I've written and sung over the last six decades. "They are like my children.
I created them and I love them. I'll always come back to them. "The Maggie May singer signed off: "I look forward to seeing you on the road with all the hits, and I can't wait to introduce you to my new swing album next year.
