He was 82.Since hearing the news, the Duke of Sussex is believed to have spoken to his aunt and his cousins, as well as Diana’s brother, Charles Spencer, Us Weekly reports.Charles, 60, took to social media to pay tribute to Fellowes on Wednesday.“My absolutely exceptional brother-in-law, Robert, is no longer with us,” he wrote on X. “A total gentleman – in all the best meanings of that word – he was a man of humor, wisdom & utter integrity.
I’m deeply proud to have been his brother-in-law.”Harry has maintained a close relationship with the Spencer family over the years — even after he quit royal life in 2020 and moved to the US with his wife Meghan Markle.The father of two met up with Charles and Lady Jane, 67, in May during the 10th anniversary of his Invictus Games in London.The duke was pictured hugging the pair as they arrived at St.
Paul’s Cathedral for the event. However, Harry did not meet up with any members of the royal family during the three-day trip.Harry is yet to speak out publicly about Fellowes’ death and it’s not yet clear if he plans on attending a memorial service in the UK.
