Phoebe Robinson Signs Two-Year First Look Deal With Sony Pictures Television
deadline.comEXCLUSIVE: Phoebe Robinson, the actress, producer and stand-up comic behind the HBO series 2 Dope Queens and the podcast on which it’s based, has signed a two-year first look deal with Sony Pictures Television.
Under the deal, Robinson will develop and produce scripted series for cable and streaming platforms through her production banner Tiny Reparations.
In a statement to Deadline on the pact, Sony Pictures Television’s EVP Comedy Development Colin Davis said, “Phoebe can truly do it all.
She is an authentic, funny, and brilliant storyteller who brings a freshness and vision to anything she touches. We are proud to partner with her and champion her unique voice.” Added Robinson, “Ooh, chile, there are few things better than getting a new home – I’m registered at CB2, so somebody get me a nice duvet – and I’m thrilled that Tiny Reparations is joining the Sony family.
