A ride has malfunctioned at Skegness Pleasure Beach leaving a ‘number of people stuck’, police have confirmed. Details of the ride affected have not yet been released but police said that it ‘remains suspended in the air’.
No serious injuries have been reported at the incident, which took place on Tuesday August 20 in the afternoon. Lincolnshire Police said that fire and ambulance crews were also in attendance.
Members of the public are urged to avoid the area while the people stranded on the ride are rescued. In a statement shared on Facebook, Lincolnshire Police said: “We are attending an incident at Skegness Pleasure Beach where a ride has malfunctioned and remains suspended in the air with a number of people stuck on the ride. We ask members of the public to please avoid the area whilst emergency services work together to ensure the safety of the people on the ride whilst they are being rescued.” Lincolnshire Police added: “No serious injuries have currently been reported.” Manchester Evening News has contacted Lincolnshire Police for more information.
