Woman's near 20-year search for sister she's never met leads her to Glasgow
Glasgow.Julie Cameron has been desperately hunting for her sister, who was put up for adoption as a baby, since she first found out about her in 2001.And Julie has uncovered new evidence suggesting the woman may now live in Glasgow, reports Glasgow Live.The shame the pregnancy brought on the family in the early 50s forced Julie's mum to make the heartbreaking decision to put her little girl up for adoption.She gave birth on November 14, 1953.After falling pregnant, she was sent to London to stay with a family friend who was a doctor where she gave birth to a baby believed to be called Audrey Howorth.Audrey was adopted in Scotland and her existence was kept a secret from Julie and her younger sister until their mother died.Julie explains:
