Former England boss Glen Hoddle thinks Cole Palmer could surpass Phil Foden. Pep Guardiola allowed the former Manchester City prospect to depart the club for Chelsea last year in a £40million deal.
Since his move to Stamford Bridge, Palmer has become one of the most impressive players in the Premier League. As well as excelling for the west Londoners, he also shined for England at Euro 2024, despite not starting any matches.
With Foden and Palmer most likely competing for the same spot behind the striker at the Three Lions, Hoddle has tipped the latter to be even better than his former team-mate. He hasn't played so well in the Euros and hasn't done what I thought he would do. "I think Foden is a special talent but it's whether he can reproduce what he's doing at City in an England shirt.
