A finance guru on social media has explained a common phrase that most of us hear on a daily basis - but may not know what it means.

The language of money can be difficult to understand at times, and even phrases that seem simple enough might catch a few people out.One such expression is the term "pay in cash" which has apparently stumped a lot of people, judging by the comments on a recent TikTok that explained the phrase in greater detail.

The Mirror reports that @financefran often posts helpful content surrounding money and making sense of the language that surrounds the topic.One of her latest videos, which has amassed over 502,000 likes, has stirred up quite the discussion in its comments about the phrase "pay in cash" and how many people actually knew what it meant.
