OVO customers set to save £160 this winter

OVO customers are set to save up to £160 off their energy bills due to the supplier signing up to the National Grid's saving scheme.

The Demand Flexibility Service (DFS) aims to incentivise customers to ease pressure off the nation's electricity system by only using devices outside of peak times.

Those taking part in turn are often given a discount on their energy bills whenever the service takes place. OVO is the latest supplier to sign up to take part in the service, which it is combining with its Power Move challenge, creating Power Move Plus.

The supplier said customers could save £100 from the DFS scheme alone and up to £160 when combined with the Power Move challenges.
