Over 200 partygoers have flocked to a huge "illegal" rave with "loud music, lights, lasers and drones" at a beauty spot down south.Local cops raced to Liverpool Castle in Rivington, near Horwich, at 1.18am on October 27 after residents living close to the scene reported hearing loud music to find the huge party.Crowds were dispersed by police at the scene, and two men - including a 34-year-old- were arrested on suspicion of drug driving.

Vera Yorke, from Horwich, told the Manchester Evening News: "When we went up to bed, we could hear the drum beat. At first, we thought it was near to us, but we found out this morning it was at the folly, Liverpool Castle." A Lancashire Police spokesman said: "We were called to Rivington Lane, Rivington, at 1.18am today (October 27) following multiple calls about an illegal rave.

Our officers attended and found around 200 people present, as well as loud music, lights, lasers and drones."Although the majority of people dispersed when our officers arrived, we dispersed those who remained from the area.

Two people were arrested on suspicion of drug driving and remain in custody at this time." They added: "They are a 21-year-old man from Burnley and a 34-year-old man from Stockport."
