North Lanarkshire Early Years Practitioner admits she may have to sell her house if huge wage cut takes place

An Early Years Practitioner working for North Lanarkshire Council has admitted she could be forced to sell her home if plans to reduce her salary by 30 per cent are carried out.

Last month, council bosses told staff members who are a grade NLC9 they would be moved down to NLC7 as part of the council’s plan to plug a £3m funding gap.Approximately 300 Early Years Practitioners across North Lanarkshire face having their pay cut by around 30 per cent and being redeployed.
