Noisy children and crying babies are among the biggest irritants for plane passengers according to new research. Just over half of those surveyed, 51%, listed 'loud and noisy children above the age of four' as among their top bugbears.
Around one in four, 23%, said they find crying babies tiresome. They weren't the biggest complaints however. Almost 60% of people said passengers not wearing headphones was unacceptable, 55% complained about personal grooming such as combing hair and clipping nails, with almost the same number of people, 51%, annoyed by passengers fully reclining their seats. While soothing a crying baby or calming an upset child can be tricky on a plane, the company is encouraging parents to be as prepared as they can be when taking little ones abroad.
Laura Davies, founder of The Kid Collective, said: "Taking a bag of carefully selected activities to keep little ones engaged and happy which makes minimal mess and noise is key to keeping other travel passengers content.
