The search for Scotland's Home of The Year continued this week as the judging panel examined three stunning properties in the central region.Anna Campbell Jones, Banjo Beale, and Michael Angus travelled through Bridge of Allan, Auchterarder, and Dunblane to pick their favourite home.

The trio start in Bridge of Allan and a unique new build called Skinny House, home to Austin and his partner Hayley.Formerly a spot of waste ground only four and a half meters wide, Skinny House was designed by Austin’s architect dad.

Boasting two external courtyards, this elongated home is compact with excellent views of the surrounding area. The Skinny House impressed judges and scored an acceptable 26 points.

Next up, the judging panel visited The Old Manse in Auchterarder, Perthshire. Dating from the 19th Century, it’s a beautiful, sandstone period property which is home to Kelly, Michel and their three children.Upon viewing it for the first time, Kelly instantly fell in love with the house but Michel was looking for something more modern which didn’t require renovating.Undeterred by the challenge, Kelly lovingly restored the period property with an interior inspired by British textile designer William Morris.
