The music world is in mourning following the death of Simple Minds' drummer Kenny Hyslop, who has died at the age of 73.Tributes have poured in for the Scottish drummer, famed for his work on the hit Promised You a Miracle.
Kenny also featured in the iconic music videos for Love Song and Sweat in Ballet. Ultravox frontman Midge Ure shared the news online in an emotional post: "Just about to board the British Airways flight from JFK and heard my old friend/Slik/Simple Minds drummer Kenny Hyslop has passed way.
He lived a lively life!," he wrote. "Huge condolences to his friends and family. He was much loved," reports the Express. Beyond his time with Simple Minds, where he stepped in for Brian McGee in 1981, Kenny's drumming prowess was showcased in bands like Set the Tone, The O'clock Gang, and Big George and the Business.
Following the tragic news, fans have taken to social media to express their sorrow. One heartbroken fan posted: "So sad, chatted to Kenny quite a bit online in the last few years met him over 40 years ago.
