Strictly Come Dancing host Tess Daly has spoken about the humorous side of her marriage to Vernon Kay, revealing that his tendency to leave a "trail of wet towels on the floor" often causes friction between them. The couple, who have been married since 2003 and have two daughters, Phoebe and Amber, manage to keep their family life grounded despite their careers in the public eye.

And while they may seem the picture perfect family, Tess has admitted that Vernon's bad habits can leave her turning red. "I’m quite a calm person – my husband would probably argue with me about that because I am not at all calm when he leaves a trail of wet towels on the floor.

But other than that? Yes, I am calm," she said back in 2020, according to the Express. Tess and Vernon met all the way back in 2001 and have been a strong team ever since, but their relationship isn't far behind from Tess's long-running stint with BBC show Strictly Come Dancing, which she has hosted since it's 2004 launch.

And set to return for the show's 20th anniversary series this weekend, Tess has been sharing her excitement on social media.
