Mum slammed after leaving five-year-old son in restaurant alone
dailyrecord.co.ukA mum has been slammed for leaving her child alone in a restaurant, leaving a waitress worried.The mum left the five-year-old boy alone at the table while she went to the toilet.
Asking the table next to them to watch him while she went to the loo, she returned to a worried waitress wondering if she was coming back.After returning, the mum turned to the Mumsnet forum asking if she had been unreasonable.
She wrote: "After the waitress had taken our order I went to the loo, leaving my son happily colouring at the table. Before I left I told the woman at the table next to us (who had young children) that I was nipping to the loo and could she please keep half an eye on my child."Not thinking much of it, as he was happily sitting there, also leaving her belongings on the table, it surprised her that the waitress had considered she might not be coming back.
After being gone for "literally two minutes".The mum was left miffed that the waitress had made a scene and thought it was a 'little far-fetched'."I didn’t know if you were coming back for him!
