Jon Gosselin and his girlfriend, Stephanie Lebo, are opening up about why they decided to keep their relationship under wraps for almost two years.Speaking with ET's Rachel Smith at the couple's home in Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania, Jon says «the real reason» was simply because they wanted their privacy. But it's not like their inner circle didn't know about their blossoming relationship. Yes, they all knew — their kids, their family, their friends.

Jon Gosselin and two of his eight kids are exposing what went down behind the scenes of TLC's infamous "Jon and Kate Plus 8" reality TV show.  Jon, along with Collin and Hannah Gosselin, sat down to interview for Vice's "Dark Side of the 2000s." The trio talked about the impact filming at such a young age had on the family and the abuse allegations Collin brought against his mom.  Jon and his wife Kate Gosselin shot to fame after giving birth to twins and sextuplets using intrauterine insemination.The couple signed on to do two documentaries about their large family in order to make ends meet, but their popularity turned the family into reality TV royalty. However, the couple eventually separated, then divorced, and it was all caught on tape.  Following his parents' split, Collin began to act out and rebel during filming, sometimes giving "completely silent interviews" and refusing to interact.  Collin was allegedly diagnosed with a behavioral disorder and sent away to a separate school at the age of 12.

Jon, 44, and Kate Gosselin, 46, rose to national fame due to their large family, which consists of a set of twins and a group of sextuplets. Their many kids even earned them an extremely popular reality series, Jon & Kate Plus 8 in 2007. While the family grew in notoriety, Kate and Jon’s marriage unfortunately didn’t work out. The pair divorced in 2009, and the show’s title was shortened to Kate Plus 8. Jon still has custody of two of the sextuplets Hannah and Collin, but the father has been estranged from the other six children for a few years now. Ahead of Father’s Day 2020, Jon told HollywoodLife that he still “hold[s] on to hope” that he can someday reunite with his six other kids.

Jon Gosselin, 44, is a single man again. The father of eight confirmed to The Sun on Thursday (Aug. 12) that he and his girlfriend of seven years, Colleen Conrad, have broken up. Jon said that while he’s “incredibly sad” the relationship is over, he’s ready to “start a new chapter” in his life. “It’s hard, it was a big decision. We have been together for seven years which is a long time, so it’s very upsetting,” he told the publication.

Collin and Hannah Gosselin, 17, live apart from their six siblings in Pennsylvania with their father Jon Gosselin, 44, and we’ve learned what their relationship looks like beyond the distance. “The kids occasionally speak to their sisters and brothers,” a source close to the family told HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY. “But they have their own phones and talk to them when they like,” they added.

Jon Gosselin, 43, got hit hard with COVID-19 last year — and not hearing from 6 of his children with ex Kate Gosselin, 45, didn’t come as a shock to the dad of 8. Despite family drama, Jon — who has custody of Collin and Hanna, 16 —  is holding out hope for a relationship with all of them at some point.

Where has the time gone? Former Jon and Kate Plus 8 stars Jon and Kate Gosselin‘s oldest daughters — twins Mady and Cara — are officially out of their teens. The young ladies turned 20 on Oct. 8, and Jon plans to respect their privacy when it comes to birthday plans. The twins were raised by Kate following her 2009 split from Jon, but he still loves his oldest children deeply. He let them know how much he cares in a way that was out of the public eye.

Collin Gosselin, one of the sextuplets of Jon and Kate Plus 8, appeared to shade his mom Kate Gosselin in a post on Mother’s Day by failing to mention her at all.
