A mum claims her kitchen was left covered in glass and blood after the surface of her hob 'exploded'. Claire Amis was cleaning her kitchen on July 14 when she heard a cracking sound coming from behind her.
When she turned around she saw that the glass on her Russell Hobbs hob had started to shatter. Claire, from Prenton, Birkenhead, said she googled the model and found out that it had been recalled due to safety concerns.
She said the event has left her having sleepless nights, the Liverpool Echo reports. "[The crackling] went on for about 45 minutes.
We only got it last year and I made about 25 phone calls to Argos, who we bought it from, to try and get it resolved. "I was just in complete shock and luckily the children were at school.
