Gossip’s Beth Ditto has revealed that she had never heard Rihanna’s hit song ‘Umbrella’ until Jessie Ware sang it to her at Glastonbury.The discussion arose as part of a new interview between the Gossip singer and the ‘Free Yourself’ artist as part of a new episode on the latter’s Table Manners podcast.In the discussion, Ditto recalled a time when she was at Glastonbury back in 2007 to perform with her bandmates, and was introduced to the song for the first time – despite it dominating charts around the world at that point.According to Ditto, she first heard the song when a then-unknown Jessie Ware was singing it in the audience as a rainstorm hit the festival, and had no idea the song was already a chart hit.“I did not realise that was you, and in my memory, the first time I’d ever heard the song ‘Umbrella’ was you and your friend. As lighter nights and sunnier days are around the corner, so is Glastonbury 2024.The music festival is set to return for its 54th year from Wednesday June 26 to Sunday June 30, and is welcoming a string of music icons to the Worthy Farm grounds in Somerset.This year, Glastonbury is also making history as it marks the first time ever that female musicians have taken two out of the three headline slots.The three headliners for this year are Dua Lipa, Coldplay and SZA, with it being a Pyramid stage debut for both Dua, who performed at The Brits last month, and SZA. While the coveted 'legends slot', which takes place on the Sunday, has also been snapped up by a female too, and none other than the Queen Of Country Pop, Shania Twain.

Kaytranada, Jessie Ware and Vince Staples are among the first raft of names announced for next year’s edition of Sónar Barcelona. The music festival, which is known for highlighting dance and electronic music culture, is set to run from Thursday June 13 to Sunday June 15, 2024, and tickets are on sale here. New ITV show Mamma Mia! I Have a Dream began airing on Sunday, 22 October, and many viewers were quick to share their confusion over the judging panel. Harry Potter acting legend Miriam Margolyes has given an update on her health following a tough few months after admitting she could soon be wheelchair-bound as the 82-year-old has undergone a major heart surgery.

Miriam Margolyes has revealed she now has a “cow’s heart” after undergoing an operation to fix a worrying health problem. The 82 year old Harry Potter actress told how she'd had a transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) - a procedure that avoids the need for open heart surgery.The operation meant that her aortic valve was replaced by that of a cow. Miriam, who is known for playing Professor Sprout in the Harry Potter franchise, as well as for her chaotic appearances on This Morning, discussed the procedure on the Table Manners podcast with Jessie and Lennie Ware.

Ezra Collective have won the 2023 Mercury Prize for their album ‘Where I’m Meant To Be’.The jazz collective were outsiders to clinch the prize going into tonight’s (September 7) ceremony beating off favourites Jockstap, Loyle Carner and Young Fathers at London’s Eventim Apollo.Jamz Supernova presented the collective with the prize and they were greeted with red confetti as they reached the stage.Accepting the trophy, Femi Koleoso, said: “Wow first of all let me thank God because if a jazz band winning the Mercury Prize doesn’t make you believe in God I don’t know what will.”He went on to thank the band’s manager and his mum and dad before adding: “Ezra Collective represents something very special because we met in a youth club.
