A East Lothian woman abseiled the Forth Bridge for charity after her husband and dad suffered heart attacks.Scotrail train conductor Jenna Brown travels over the South Queensferry bridge several times a day for work, however, hanging off it gave her a completely different view. The 38-year-old decided to take part in the challenge for Chest, Heart & Stroke Scotland to show support for the care her loved ones received, saying she hopes "no daddies leave their loved ones before their time".Jenna's father, John Harkins, tragically passed away suddenly after a heart attack in 2014.
Then in 2017, her husband - also John - had a heart attack at the age of just 46. He required emergency surgery to insert a stent into his heart, and has gone on to make a full recovery.
This, and the loss of her father, prompted Jenna's fundraising.Along with others, Jenna abseiled 165-feet from the bridge onto the beach below.
This year was the 20th anniversary of the annual Forth Bridge Abseil, reports Edinburgh Live.It was the first time since 2019 that the event was open to the public, due to pandemic reasons.
