nypost.comJane Moore penned a column for the Sun and noted how many business ventures the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have taken on since leaving the Firm in 2020.Their entrepreneurial opportunities such as their failed Spotify deal and their $100 million Netflix contract have been helpful in keeping their $14 million Montecito, California, abode afloat.At first, the couple — who married in 2018 after two years of dating — kept up the narrative that they were “persecuted lovers who fled the wicked royal kingdom in the pursuit of a happier life.”Moore added that Harry, 39, and the “Suits” actress soon moved onto the story that the Invictus Games founder is “misunderstood” while Markle is the “angelic wife [who] was his rock.”Moore went on to claim that the pair have “decided to drop the constant virtue signaling and embrace what we always suspected Meghan craved all along.”The Post has reached out to the Sussexes for comment.Additionally, Moore alleged that all Markle wanted was “an A-list celebrity lifestyle funded by lucrative endorsements and favours from billionaires who want to be seen with someone famous.”Stacy Jones, founder of the LA-based marketing agency Hollywood Branded, chimed in and told Moore that the ex-royals’ objective is “circled around ‘poor Meghan and Harry’ and that’s not a platform you can build a brand on.”The pair are also currently in their “flop era,” according to Rolling Stone magazine.The former actress and Harry’s string of failed ventures have contributed to their reported decline. “Part of the issue the Sussexes are currently facing is that they have made their brand about their beef with the royal family.
