Mum-of-three who got out of her car after it overturned on M6 dies

A 52-year-old woman tragically took her own life when she was struck by a van on the M6 motorway, a coroner has ruled. Lisa Kelsall left her home on the evening of April 8 before she was then spotted 'driving erratically' on the motorway, Stoke-on-Trent Live reports.

After her Vauxhall Mokka overturned on the slip road between the M6 and M62 in Cheshire, Lisa got out of the car and walked onto the carriageway.

The mum-of-three and grandmother-to-be, from Norton, was then tragically struck by a Citroen Relay van. She suffered 'unsurvivable injuries'. The inquest heard that Lisa had a 'history of mental health issues, had been the victim of domestic abuse, and suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder'.
