Missing woman found dead in Asda car park named by police
dailyrecord.co.ukA woman who was found dead in a supermarket car park has been named by police. Lynn-Marie McCoy, 59, had been declared missing after last being seen by her family at around 2pm on Monday.The following day, Merseyside Police put out an official appeal to try and trace Lynn-Marie, from West Derby.
But at around 8pm that evening, emergency services were called to Asda in the Walton area of Liverpool. Cops were responding to reports of a concern for welfare.
Once mercy crews arrived at the site, they found a woman within a parked car, Liverpool ECHO reports.Despite the best efforts of emergency services, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have since confirmed that the woman was Lynn-Marie. Her death is not being treated as suspicious.A spokesperson for Merseyside police said: "We can confirm that a woman who was found in a parked car in a car park on Utting Avenue in Walton last night was missing Lynn-Marie McCoy."Mrs McCoy, 59, was last seen in West Derby on the afternoon of Monday, October 23.
