Martha Stewart and Ina Garten are making headlines. The pair go way back, as two women who took the cooking and hosting worlds by storm in the 1990s.
While Ina was working and living in the Hamptons, Martha purchased a home there in 1990. Later that year, Martha‘s magazine published its first ever copy, and included a write up on Ina, who was a local fan fave at the time.
Years later, Martha‘s production company ended up getting Ina a Food Network show. The show didn’t pan out, and Ina instead ended up on the Food Network in the early 2000s, hosting her show, the Barefoot Contessa.
In a new profile for the New Yorker, Ina recalled how she and Martha eventually lost touch.
