Manchester United defender Rhys Bennett has confirmed that he has suffered a 'minor injury' following Wednesday's 2-0 win over Leeds United in Oslo.
The centre-back, who captained United's Under-18s to the FA Youth Cup crown in May 2022, was one of 11 players to step off the bench at half-time at the Ullevaal Stadion.
He partnered fellow youngster Will Fish in the heart of what was a very youthful defence, as seconc half goals from Noam Emeran and Joe Hugill sealed a routine victory.
Bennett, who will celebrate his 20th birthday later this year, was making his first appearance since January after missing almost all of the second half of the 2022/23 campaign through injury.
