Man rushed to hospital after report that "corrosive substance" was allegedly thrown

A man has been arrested and another taken to hospital following an alleged incident in Hamilton.At around 1.50pm on Saturday, July 22, police say they responded to a report of a "corrosive substance" allegedly being thrown at someone in a property.

Police confirmed that a 51-year-old was taken to Hairmyres Hospital in East Kilbride for treatment.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
