Plans have been submitted for a mixed-use commercial site in the Hattersley area of Tameside. They include a new Aldi store, a Costa Coffee café/drive-thru, 16 electric vehicle charging points and eight new employment units on a 5.5-acre site adjacent to Stockport Road and Ashworth Lane.

The 57,000 sq ft scheme also includes 179 car parking spaces with landscaping across the site to enhance its appearance. Plans from Maple Grove Development - part of the Eric Wright Group - have been tabled in collaboration with Onward Homes and are for a site which has been ‘dormant’ for 14 years.
