Holly Willoughby is ready to make her comeback on ITV‘s Dancing On Ice after enduring a difficult 2023. ITV has confirmed that Willoughby will present the next season of its celebrity ice skating competition series, with Stephen Mulhern replacing Phillip Schofield as co-host.
Commenting on Willoughby’s return to Dancing on Ice, Katie Rawcliffe, head of entertainment at ITV, said: “Holly and Stephen are two of our best-loved presenters, so reuniting them 20 years after they first appeared on screen together to host Dancing on Ice marks the start of an exciting year for the show.” Willoughby has been on a break from presenting duties since October after a man was charged with a plot to kidnap and murder the British television star.
Gavin Plumb denies the charges. The alleged threat followed a storm over Schofield’s relationship with a young co-worker on This Morning, as well as questions about an alleged “toxic” culture on the ITV show.
Schofield resigned from This Morning in disgrace in May and an independent review found this month that his colleagues were not aware of his relationship.
