Elizabeth II
Elizabeth II (Elizabeth Alexandra Mary; born 21 April 1926) is Queen of the United Kingdom and the other Commonwealth realms. Elizabeth was born in London, the first child of the Duke and Duchess of York, later King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, and she was educated privately at home. Her father ascended the throne on the abdication of his brother King Edward VIII in 1936, from which time she was the heir presumptive. She began to undertake public duties during the Second World War, serving in the Auxiliary Territorial Service. In 1947, she married Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, a former prince of Greece and Denmark, with whom she has four children: Charles, Prince of Wales; Anne, Princess Royal; Prince Andrew, Duke of York; and Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex.

Loose Women star Nadia Sawalha choked back tears as she admitted she ‘couldn’t talk’ about the death of a loved one. The 58 year old TV personality was joined on the ITV show on Thursday, 7 September, by host Kaye Adams, along with panellists Dame Kelly Holmes and Katie Piper, as they discussed grief and the ways of coping with it.

The panel talked about whether the first anniversary of losing someone was the hardest - with Friday marking one year since Queen Elizabeth II died.

After listening to her co-stars speak on the subject, Nadia said: “I lost somebody.” However, she then paused as she began to choke up.

She looked over at host Kaye and, with her voice starting to break, she added: “Actually do you know what I can’t talk about it.” Kaye said, ‘you know what, that’s fine’, as TV presenter Katie Piper rubbed Nadia’s shoulder to comfort her.
