Coleen Nolan has slammed claims that Loose Women is a "toxic environment", sharing that she wouldn't still be on the show if that was the case. The TV personality and singer's, 58, comments come after the show was blasted by former panellists Vicky Pattison and Carol McGiffin.

Former Geordie Shore star Vicky, 35, who was a regular panellist on the popular daytime ITV show from 2015 to 2019, has claimed that producers would often push the panel through earpieces if they thought the guest was about to cry.

While Carol, 63, labelled the entire "ITV Daytime Family" as "dysfunctional as they come", she also hit out at the show claiming it had "gone very, very woke." However, Coleen, who has been a panellist on the ITV daytime show since 2000, has since shared that she doesn't believe that the Loose Women environment is a "toxic one." Speaking to the Daily Mirror, she said: "I think it's very sad because it seems to be a lot of women bashing other women. They go on about 'Oh it's toxic', it's been running for 24 years or something, if it was that toxic, trust me, being the person I am, I wouldn't be there." Sharing that there was some toxicity many years ago, but that that has since changed as those responsible have since moved on to other jobs, Coleen continued: "I left for a year, years ago, because I wasn't enjoying it. "But that had nothing to do with the panel that was to do with more to do with people behind the scenes at the time.
