Chancellor Jeremy Hunt admits he FLEW to Manchester from London - rather than taking the train

Jeremy Hunt has admitted he flew in to Manchester from London ahead of the Conservative Party conference rather than taking the train.

The Chancellor, who also refused to comment again on the HS2 rail link to Manchester, blamed a train cancellation due to industrial action for choosing the mode of transport.

The Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak, said last week he would 'probably be driving' to Manchester for the conference when pressed about his travel plans.
