Loose Women's Linda Robson said she 'doesn't need a partner' to love her - adding she wants ‘affection not an erection’. The 65 year old actress - who earlier this month appeared to confirm her split from husband of 33 years Mark Dunford - received a raucous round of applause from the studio audience as she made the comments during a panel discussion on Wednesday’s show, 13 September, entitled ‘When is the right time to find love again?' Linda, who rose to fame on hit TV comedy Birds of a Feather, was first quizzed by show anchor Jane Moore on her relationship with Tony Tyler - who she was with for eleven years and is father to her daughter Lauren.
Linda said: “It took me a long time to get over that because that was my first love.” And then she added: “But I feel like I don’t really need a partner to love me.
I’ve got my children, my grandchildren, my sisters, my friends. I'm looking for affection not an erection.” The comments sparked laughter and clapping from the audience.
Her fellow panellists - including Brenda Edwards - were left open-mouthed by the remarks. Rumours have swirled for months about Linda's marriage to Mark apparently being in 'crisis' and her comments on Loose Women last week seemed to confirm the couple had gone their separate ways.
