David Martindale has added a host of fresh faces for Livingston’s crack at the Championship next season but insists they have ‘no divine right’ to bounce back to the Premiership. The Lions boss is well on his way towards shaping up his side for next term, with four more players in the door over the past week, following the signings of Maidstone winger Liam Sole earlier in the month.Martindale has since snapped up Morton striker Robbie Muirhead and Linfield defender Matthew Clarke, 30, on two-year deals, while one-year deals have also been handed to Woking winger Ricky Korboa, 27, and Linfield defender Daniel Finlayson, 23, the latter of whom automatically gets a one-year extension, should Livi be promoted.Martindale says there are two or three others he hopes to get over the line, which will be added to the squad he anticipates being left with after the Premiership season comes to a close on Sunday at home to Hibs.“It’s really important to bounce back, but it’s a lot easier said than done,” said Martindale.“There are a lot of big clubs in the Championship and we’ll have no divine right to be in contention for getting promoted – you’ve got to earn that right, so it’s not as easy as people probably try to make out.“There are bigger clubs than us that have stayed in the Championship for a number of years.“I think it took Hibs three years, Rangers two years, Hearts did it twice, Killie and Dundee United have done it.“But what I’d caveat that with is those are teams that were paying a lot of money for the Championship.“It’s probably the most competitive league in the country.

I don’t speak about League One or League Two, but when I look at the Championship, on any day any team can beat anyone, so that’s probably not the same
