Lanarkshire representatives co-host parliament taskforce raising awareness of six cancers with low survival rates

Two Lanarkshire MSPs were at the forefront of a cross-party taskforce in the Scottish Parliament marking an awareness day of six cancers which people have a lower probability of surviving.People with cancers of the lung, liver, brain, oesophagus, pancreas and stomach have an average five-year survival rate of just 16 per cent and are classed as “less survivable cancers” (LSC).The SNP’s Clare Adamson and Scottish Green Gillian Mackay were among the co-hosts of the Less Survivable Cancers Taskforce at Holyrood which was marking Less Survivable Cancers Awareness Day on January 11.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
