A Place in the Sun presenter Jonnie Irwin has shared an update on his current health, and has revealed how he is managing to stay positive amid his terminal cancer battle. The TV star, 50, has been seeking alternative treatment to deal with the disease, and admits that he is feeling "great" right now, reports the Mirror.Jonnie announced in November 2022 that he had been diagnosed with terminal cancer, and had been initially given six months to live in 2020 - but was still fighting the disease.Speaking on the Conversations with Jane McLelland podcast, the star explained why he feels he's still kicking, and how he is living life with his wife and three sons.

He said: "One of the reasons I think I'm still here is I'm not a cancer patient. It's always there at the back of your mind, but I'm living with cancer, not dying with cancer."Jonnie also encouraged others not to focus on their prognosis if they are dealing with cancer, as he continued: "If I just listened to the prognosis I'm perennially given, I'd be curled up in a ball and crying myself to death."He added that he feels more empowered knowing he can help himself, including treatments like intravenous Vitamin C, hyperbaric oxygen and Reiki sessions.Jonnie noted: "I'm so much more open-minded now.

Probably because I've got a gun to my head. It's a rich kaleidoscope of help that I'm getting and I'm pursuing and I will continue to do that.

You've got to look into alternatives and do your own research."The star also highlighted the importance of staying positive for himself during his cancer journey.
