The chief executive of a British missing persons charity says it is working with the Slater family 'to sort out the next steps of taking Jay home'.
Matthew Searle MBE is from LBT Global, which has been supporting the family since the 19-year-old went missing in Tenerife a month ago.
In a statement after a body found on the island was confirmed to be that of the Lancashire teenager, Mr Searle said the announcement from a Spanish court after a post-mortem examination 'does seem to confirm that Jay died of injuries consistent with an accidental fall from a considerable height'.
A spokesperson for a court in the area, meanwhile, said the post-mortem 'has determined that his death was the result of multiple injuries compatible with a fall in a rocky area', with no further details being made available.
