First look at female detective in hotly-anticipated Death in Paradise spin-off show
ok.co.ukDeath in Paradise fans have been given a glimpse of the anticipated spin-off series Return to Paradise, featuring the show's first leading lady detective.The dreamy Dolphin Cove in Australia forms the setting for this six-episode series, and introduces "golden girl" Mackenzie Clarke, played by actress Anna Samson.
As a former star of the London Met, Mackenzie is famed for her razor-sharp intuition and unwavering talent in untangling the knottiest of mysteries.
However, Mackenzie has got more on her plate than just solving puzzles, she's grappling with the ghosts of her past as she heads back to the last place she wanted to be: her old stomping ground, Dolphin Cove.
Her homecoming is anything but warm and fuzzy, with old wounds reopening at every turn. In the clip, we catch a glimpse of Mackenzie's rocky road home to Dolphin Cove, where even the cab ride is a battleground as she insists, "I am a paying customer," only to face a cabbie's eye-roll and the biting line: "I can't believe you came back," reports the Mirror.
