Coronation Street's Daniel Brocklebank has shared a heartbreaking update about his family's experience with motor neurone disease.The soapstar, 43, who plays Billy Mayhew in the long-running ITV soap, took to X, formerly Twitter, to speak about his grandfather's diagnosis with the devastating condition.The soap's current storyline has seen Billy's partner Paul Foreman heartbreakingly diagnosed with MND, with Daniel now sharing how this disease has impacted his off-screen life.
Sharing a video showing a book that will those suffering from the disease record their voices, Daniel wrote: "Sadly my grandfather and many other people living with MND didn't have this incredible invention during his illness.
However, I'm so happy people living with MND now have this opportunity. #IWillAlwaysBeMe." The MND Association responded with gratitude, saying: "Thank you so much for raising awareness, Dan.
Brilliant and insightful episode this evening. #Corrie." Other fans also chimed in with their thoughts and experiences. Viewers of the soap, and those who know people suffering from MND also commented on Daniel's post, with one writing: "It is great but heartbreaking to read.
