Demi Jones, who first appeared on Love Island four years ago, has made her return for the All-Stars edition of the show. The 25 year old was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in May 2021 and has since become a champion for cancer awareness.

Despite being cancer-free for around two years, Demi still attends regular check-ups. She plans to use her time back in the villa to raise awareness about the condition by proudly displaying her scars while in her bikini, the Mirror reports.

She added: "So that's just one person that's already been on Love Island and the impact it will have if I'm talking about it, or people will see my scar when I'm in my bikini and things like that, and I hope people think." Demi discovered she had thyroid cancer after recognising one of the key signals - a lump on her neck.Thankfully, medics were able to successfully remove her illness, which was the size of a golf ball, and then she undertook radiotherapy.

The telly star has shared her brave cancer experience both on social media and in interviews. During a chat with Shaughna Phillips for Cancer Research's Play Your Part campaign, Demi confessed: 'I was so shocked when I was diagnosed with cancer and my first thoughts were "Is this going to kill me?
