Fred has confirmed his departure from Manchester United by sending a heartfelt farewell message to supporters. The midfielder made just 12 league starts last season and with just a year left on his contract at Old Trafford, the club accepted an offer of €15million (£12.93m) from Fenerbahce and the transfer is set to be completed imminently.
United will receive €10m up front with €5m in add-ons for Fred and he flew to Istanbul on Saturday morning for his medical.
