Former Strictly Come Dancing judge Len Goodman has died aged 78, his agent has said. Agent Jackie Gill said in a statement: “It is with great sadness to announce that Len Goodman has passed away peacefully, aged 78. “A much loved husband, father and grandfather who will be sorely missed by family, friends and all who knew him.

Len Goodman left Bruno Tonioli in tears when he made the emotional decision to quit Dancing with the Stars. Last November, the former Strictly Come Dancing judge announced on Dancing With The Stars that he would be hanging up his scoring paddle for the last time at the end of that series.

Manori Ravindran Executive Editor of International Long-time “Dancing With the Stars” and “Strictly Come Dancing” judge Len Goodman has died. He was 78. Goodman’s manager confirmed his death to the BBC on Monday. The judge was diagnosed with bone cancer in 2021. He died on Saturday at a hospice in Kent, surrounded by his family. Goodman was a mainstay as the head judge on popular BBC dance competition “Strictly Come Dancing” from its 2004 launch right up until 2016. He also served as a judge on the U.S. adaptation of the show, “Dancing with the Stars” on ABC, from its launch in 2005 through to 2022. The BBC released a statement just minutes after Goodman’s death was first announced by the public broadcaster, with director general Tim Davie calling him a “wonderful, warm entertainer who was adored by millions.”

The BBC has unveiled its presenter line-up for King Charles III’s Coronation next month.

Kirsty Young and Huw Edwards have been named among the BBC’s presenting team for next month’s coronation celebrations.The corporation did not name veteran presenter David Dimbleby, who last year came out of retirement to cover the Queen’s funeral procession, as among those contributing to its live coverage of the “full glory” of the King and Queen Consort’s coronation in May. Former Question Time host Dimbleby, 84, has played a central role in the BBC’s political and royal coverage for several decades, including commenting on last year’s Platinum Jubilee service at St Paul’s Cathedral.
