Former Strictly Come Dancing judge Len Goodman has died aged 78

Agent Jackie Gill said in a statement: “It is with great sadness to announce that Len Goodman has passed away peacefully, aged 78. “A much loved husband, father and grandfather who will be sorely missed by family, friends and all who knew him. ”Len Goodman was a retired professional ballroom dancer and dance judge.
He was a head judge on the popular dance competition TV show, "Strictly Come Dancing" from its inception in 2004 until 2016.
Goodman also appeared as a judge on the American version of "Dancing with the Stars" from 2005 to 2020. He had a long and successful career in dance and has trained many professionals who have gone on to win prestigious dance competitions.
Goodman had been in a hospice in Tunbridge Wells in Kent following a short illness. He had cancer having had surgery in 2009 and in 2020.
