The storyline first began last December, when when Daisy Midgeley, played by Charlotte Jordan was awaiting test results at the hospital after discovering a breast lump. It was while at the hospital she met Justin, a mild mannered man who was attending the department in support of his mum, who was battling cancer.

Coronation Street’s acid attack horror took an unexpected turn in Monday’s episode when Ryan Connor stepped in to defend Daisy Midgeley - taking the full force of Justin Rutherford’s violence.
