Coronation Street spoiler video sees first look at harrowing acid attack storyline
ok.co.ukCoronation Street has released a chilling spoiler video that shows a first look of Monday night's harrowing Daisy Midgeley acid attack storyline on the ITV soap.The clip was shown during Monday's episode of Lorraine as it sees Daisy, played by Charlotte Jordan, about to leave the Rovers Return Inn for her wedding to Daniel Osbourne, played by Rob Mallard.
Being escorted out by Ryan Connor, played by Ryan Prescott, who has stepped in as chauffeur last minute thanks to the wedding car being stolen, the duo are soon set for a chilling discovery.
As Ryan starts to lock up, he spots one punter left in the pub, or so he thinks, as he says: "Hi mate, time to drink up we've got a wedding to get to." With Daisy closely following behind, but she is soon left shaken as she hears stalker Justin Rutherford chillingly say: "Lucky you..." To which she whispers in panic: "Justin..." The harrowing clip ends there but spoilers reveal that Justin advances on Daisy holding a glass full of clear liquid, telling Daisy that no one will want her after this, as he throws acid at her.
Later in the week, a devastated Daisy struggles to deal with the aftermath of Justin's violent attack. The Katie Piper Foundation has supported Coronation Street in understanding the "long-lasting impact" of an acid attack as the ITV soap explores the issue in the upcoming storyline.
