Residents living in a housing estate which still hasn't been completed five years after people moved in have called for action.
Hygrove Homes opened in Morfa, Swansea, back in 2018 "offering convenience and good connections with affordable quality homes built to the highest standards".But five years on residents have complained of raised kerbs, uneven roads and raised drain covers which have allegedly caused cars being damaged and punctured tyres.
According to Wales Online, the problem with the estate not being finished is a stumbling block in its discussions with Swansea Council concerning the formal adoption of the roads. However, problems are only getting worse for those who live on the estate thanks to a change in parking regulations.
New signs installed on September 1 have stated that a parking charge of £100 would be incurred if vehicles were found to be on a kerb, pavement or landscaped area.Despite residents claiming they received no notification of the change in rules apart from the signs, the rules are being enforced from September 2.
